This is a half size WIP (the original is 4000 x 1700) of an Idea I have been working on today, but I need to walk away for a bit.

Idea behind the image

In 2016 a major breakthrough is announced by Lausch & Bomb a large American optical corporation. They have perfected a way to permanently change a persons eye colour. What wasn't explained is that in order to complete the procedure they must acquire the required tissue from a donor eye. The extraction procedure can only come from a living eye and leaves many lasting side effects with the donor. These side effects include blindness, pain, psychosis and typical lead to a early expiration of the donor.

Due to the side effects volunteers for the donor eyes has been limited at best. As demand for the procedure grew, L&B implemented the optical spider program. These robotic spiders are programmed to seek out and extract the required tissue by any means necessary. Originally designed to infiltrate prisons, shelters and slums in order to harvest from donors who would not be missed. They have evolved over time to expand there search into more main stream areas to facilitate the grow of the business.

Once the spider locate a requested eye colour (for ease of facilitation) they will wait till the donor is sleeping. One bot will immobilizes the donor with a small injection. The donor will be unable to move, but (in order to stop involuntary mussel contractions that could damage the spiders) they are fully aware of the procedure taking place. The injection generally wears off with in an hour.
