Description
Using strong brush stroke and grainy sensation to simulate the oil painting(canvas), and use several different texture brushes during the process, focus on the upper body and the warm light of the character, and blur the other parts.運用強烈的筆觸和顆粒感來模仿油畫的效果。過程中運用數個紋理筆刷,焦點放在上半身和暖光的部分,其他則虛化。

cosmicbound , did you see this?
Not space nor sci-fi related in any manner. But I seem to recall a faint glimmer of a memory that you enjoy unorthodox, lustrous lighting in portraiture - and under any realistic conditions it hardly gets more lustrous than this.

Appreciate the recommendation! Perhaps you recall, in particular, ?

Most welcome. And indeed!
Got limited bandwidth and problems loading right now, but another which came to mind was a feature from last year - a scryer or fortune teller, if memory serves right - and a number of blue and gold space/landscapes with brightly backlit characters, some in the style of Donato.

Most welcome! Some may say rim lighting and complex, lustrous backlighting may be standard skills in realistic portraiture, but nevertheless they are complex skills that should be recognised when seen.
Please excuse if the technical language is off: Not native English myself.

GORGEOUS !!! Your art is very inspiring and skilled. By the way, could I get a couple words of your critique on my work - Margo . I've only recently started drawing and would appreciate your advise.

I think that your dark color is not dark enough. You can try to add the darker color in dark side.As long as you continue to practice, you will progress, Refuel

On the reverse, how dark would you say is too dark? Or too light?
Used to set the range from 10-90, but pretty soon went to 5-95. And then all the way to 3-97. So long as the darkest and lightest areas still have some saturation, they never seem to get altogether too light nor too dark except at full 0/100.

If the setting is within a certain range is very good
