Coloured pencil, paper, a bit bigger than A4

First day of summer art classes (suppsed to be second, but I was ill in the first, so I will catch up next week).
We were given all the same pose reference from a book, then we had to imagine a scene and choose a lightsource, then render the whole thing ^^
Everybody chose to draw her playing in the sand or at the pool (probably because of the modesty bodysuit).
I wanted to make this both challenging, so I could learn something, and also fit into my universe.

I am pretty happy with the result.
As much as I love working with pencils, I hate how they look after scanning. But I was really happy to have finished such a dark and big piece with this medium, something I never do because I feel my pencil work never gets recognition online

I might chop a bit of the tree on the left, it looks like dead space to me, we'll see. For now I'm so tired, I just want to post
