At the moment I am overwhelmed by the NLR fan-art, there are so many drawings, stories, etc. regarding it. Because of that I was a bit surprised I didnt find much about its main enemy, Celestial Empire or Solar Flares Empire, maybe I just cant use search engines.Regardless of the reasons I decided to contribute something to the theme so here is my rework of the original Canterlot Royal Guard into something a little bit more evil. It was also a fine opportunity to practise my stallion drawing, which I find much harder than drawing mares. The background is somewhat sketchy, because I just wanted to do the guard designs and as I finished them I became bored with it but still pushed myself to smash some red-evil-palace-random-stuff together. Nevertheless I still hope you like it.

Always good to see Solar Empire art. As you say, there isn't nearly enough, to the point that the supposed underdog NLR badly outnumber the SE.

Lol I actually really like NLR and prefer (eternal) night to day, you could tell that by looking up my other work, I already drew a princess inspired by Luna and Nightmare Moon. I guess my profile ID doesnt really match my interest .
However even if I fancy night more than day, I might expand upon those designs and create more. In fact I am already working on drawing portraying Solar Flare and Nightmare Moon doing some evil stuff (by that I mean the killig stuff), depicting them both as villains, because ultimately, thats who they are. I dont know when its going to be finished, I have been drawing it for like a month (I dont draw unless I feel like it so progress is very slow). But by commenting, you have kicked me out of idleness so I may make some extra effort to complete the thing. Thanks for that .

DAMM IT , I just ruined Nightmare Moons face which means the whole pic is f**ked. Another month of planning and drawing down the drain.
No matter, I already have a new idea for picture featuring Solar Flare and her most faithfull student. Though this certainly means my future submissions featuring Celestial Empire are delayed, mainly because I am focusing mainly on my changeling hive at the moment.

It does suck about your pic getting ruined. But your Hive series is cool, and I do like the idea of an evil Celestia and Twilight. Having once lost a story I'd spent a year working on to a computer crash I can sympathize with your work getting ruined, hope it doesn't happen again.
