Description

Britte is a Belgium manufacturer who used to manufacture parts for gun makers, and in 1931 Theophile Britte developped his new patent and started the production of a new concept: the side loading over/under shotgun named Superbritte, an answer to the small opening angle and increased height of the double barreled shotguns of this profile. The brand was eventually sold to Griffin & Howe, which currently owns the "Superbritte" brand name.

The Superbritte labeled “Blue” was found in an old bombed out mansion on the Australian wasteland. The shotgun’s metal parts were successfully restored, but it’s original forend and stock were beyond repair, receiving lighter synthetic versions based on the design of the Hatsan Optima, all painted in bright metallic blue, hence its nickname. Although it is chambered for 12 gauge, two special adapters where manufactured for it, giving the ability to fire .308 rounds, both being locked in place with the use of screw-on muzzle breakers. While loaded with .308, the user can use its low profile scope to aim, but when using 12 gauge shells, one can aim by tilting the weapon to the left side, making use of the right side ghost ring with blue fiber optics sights.
