Description
“As another day marches fourth "hehe", it brings us another race to cover. This time being Orcs”“Orcs; [Awrks]”
“Orcs have a troubling history, whether it be crimes of violence or of passion. Leaving a mark on public opinion nonetheless. Nowadays, Orcs live by a code of individuals first, living and working for the people of their tribes. Moreover, Orcs are the few races to be civilization in the form of tribes, with many following rules of tradition and honor.”
“Orcs; [Awrks]”
“Orcs are tried and true, beings of strength. Orcs grow to be approximately 7 feet and 4 inches or 2.24 meters. With an average lifespan of 120 years and maturation of 18, sharing similarities with Humans. Outside of the obvious difference in bone structure and muscle mass Orcs have compared to other species, Orcs share subtle interesting physicalities. Such as Orcs growing much less hair than Humans, typically only enough for their facial and head. Additionally, Orcs ears have similar structures to Humans with more protruding points. Orcs are versatile though, living in any climate. Moreover they live in small tribes, preferring to live semi Nomadic. Although individuals are exceptions, Orcs have a displeasure towards Elves and Humans, but are indifferent about the others. Interestingly enough, they share a good bond with Kobolds and Goblins.”
“Half-Orcs; [Haf Awrks]”
“Half-Orcs are born when an Orc and Human share a child. Besides the beautiful relationship, the offspring is a special variant of Orcs, a Half-Orc shares physicalities of an Orc with the added Human benefit. Living to be 110 years on average, with a maturation at 18, Half-Orcs live shorter lives than regular Orcs. They grow to be 6 foot 10 inches or 2.08 meters on average as well. Contrary to belief, Half-Orcs are actually stronger than typical Orcs, Human Nature and The Orcish Strengths can be an interesting combination. However, this variant suffers a lot socially. With cases of exploitation common in tribes and racism evermore so in civilizations, Half-Orcs have difficulty finding places that mentally benefit them. Thus they prefer the acceptance of few close bonds. Half-Orcs have indifference towards other species.”
“Quarter-Orcs; [Kwawr-ter Awrks]”
“Quarter-Orcs are an interesting variant, having roughly one quarter of their makeup being Orc, but the rest Human. Living an average of 98 years and maturing at 18, Quarter-Orcs have close similarities to Humans. Quarter-Orcs grow to be 5 feet and 6 inches or 1.68 meters, nigh Human in comparison. Quarter-Orcs are shockingly similar to Humans, with smaller lower canines than other Orcs. They also have very little variation in muscle mass, only slightly stronger than Humans. However, they are the closest Humans will ever get towards magic abilities, combined with a more Human appearance, they are seen positively amongst Humans. On the contrary, Orcs view them negatively, only as husks with fading Orcish Strength. This makes the social aspect of Quarter-Orcs different, often relying on Human attention and clinging onto their parental bond far into maturation. They share Human views on the other species, with tension on Orcs.”
“5/4-Orcs or 5 Quarter-Orcs; [Fahyv fohr Awrks or Fahyv Kwawr-ter Awrks]”
“Paradoxically, this variant of Orc is more Orcish than Orcs. Jokes and Jovial aside, this variant is a tale of solemn grief, as it showcases the damage of blind desire. Living to the poor 65 years of age, a maturation at 16, and a height of 13 feet and 4 inches or 4.06 meters; these measurements show a grim view into 5/4-Orcs. This variant of Orcs are stronger than all other Orcs, with a heightened strength and size. However, this is the only benefit they have. Assumed to be caused by a rogue mutation in children of two Orcs, these Orcs have vastly different codes than Orcs, with a disproportionate chest and arms, the weight of their body will strain their legs to show symptoms of major back and spine pain at age 50, to a pained existence at 60, then a slow death at 65. If they don’t die to their nature first that is. To match their ridiculous strength, 5/4-Orcs have incredible rage, that is both unrelenting and blind, often attack anything that isn’t their own kin, that is to say that if their kin don’t get in their way. Socially 5/4-Orcs have a high death rate at infantile stages, some at childhood. Those that survive will often lead tribes of Orcs by force, creating hostile tribes of war. Even then, 5/4-Orcs are completely infertile, thus their lineage dies with the current ruler often. It's a sad state of a species, dealing the genetic hand equivalent of a 2-7 offset. Although more evidence points at a rogue mutation or disease being the cause of this, some believe a divine or devilish force is at play for this variant. Whether true or not, this is a species that deserves better than being an overserialized fantasy villain.”
“Overall Orcs have been at the brunt of history many times, leaving their mark in ways they did not expect or want, nowadays they live peaceful lives thankfully, but it's not dull, as they are the most common to suffer against racist remarks and viewpoints.”
