Description I was asked to make like, a guide to how to use shapes to sketch out your guidlines for anatomy, so I did my best!!
Human bodies are usually proportioned between seven to eight heads in height, so I did a seven head, a seven and a half head, and an eight head model
That said, that's not a super set rule, there are lots of reasons not to fit into that model even irl [like genetic differences, and age for examples]

I don't always use these shapes, and tbh I rarely do the stick figure lines, but that's because when you get so practiced w something, you can do a lot of it more free handed than you do when you're first learning/practicing
But these are still my most commonly used shapes, on how I go about making a basic human figure, so I hope some of you find this helpful!!

Later I'll probably try to make a few for different body types
Like how I said hips start at one and a half heads wide that's the thinnest I'll usually make them, but they can be much wider if you want! I usually draw them at about two and a half heads wide tbh

I can't draw but I want to learn some basic skills so this is absolutely helpful. I have a few books but this method caught my eye but how you describe it in writing is very interesting. I'm taking note of this when I start practicing.

The most important thing is to practice constantly, and experiment a lot!
The more you draw something, the better you'll get at it, and the more you experiment, the more you can learn and enjoy along the way!

And remember it's SUPER okay to draw something 'bad' because there's not actually such thing as bad art, just underpracticed art! And you have to do lots of unpracticed/underpracticed art before you can do practiced stuff, because that's how you get there!

Thanks. Tbh, I think you'd change your mind about "bad art," if you saw my stick figured though 😂😂. But I'll try to always remain encouraged. It's not like I'm trying to compete, it would just be a really fun thing to get good at, especially since I love experimenting with graphic art as it is. There's just no reason I can't reach the level of basic if I try, try, etc... ❤️

I'm a very very firm believer in what I said, there's no such thing as bad art.
And I'm a firm believer that anyone who wants to, has the potential to become an amazing artist, it only takes time, practice, and perseverance!

I hope you have lots of fun, and I believe with experimentation and enjoyment, you'll make it to your goal!!

I will make it my goal to be good. And my writing. And my editing. Just everything. I'm going to kill this Fall 😁. Not that you asked, but thanks again.

And yeah, that's what I meant. I'm the type to plan on one day practicing, lol.
