Cassandra and Demetrius have been very good friends for many years. Although they are both members of Ealoeth House and sometimes refer to one another as "cousin" they are not actually related by blood.When the two recently set off on a quest together, they didn't expect for their friendship to blossom into romance! During a sea voyage Demetrius leapt into the water to save a sailor washed away by a storm. He saved the poor man's life, but was nearly drowned in the process.
Cassandra was frightened by the prospect of losing Demetrius, and very impressed by his bravery. As she tried to dry him off and warm him up afterwards the two ended up in a very romantic situation.
Demetrius and Cassandra are very excited about starting this new phase of their relationship.

The very last thing Demetrius expected was getting together with Cassandra. He saw her as a smart, capable, trustworthy friend. Who becomes attracted to someone like that!?! Trust is the biggest one though. Demetrius trusts no one that isn't from his house, and even then he watches what he says and does. But there's something about Cassie that has broken down his defenses to the point he can relax with her and be himself.
It also doesn't hurt that she's stunningly cute.
