Alynimvra Geldra'fryn was born to a high house in the Underdark, and favored for her natural magical abilities. After the mysterious murder of her mother, Lyta was placed in a position of power ahead of her elder sister Belshina. Such an opportunity might have thrilled another dark elf in her position, but Alynimvra was only a child and was unprepared to lead her house.

Her sister, eager to be rid of her, convinced the girl to lead an attack on a small elven village on the surface. During combat, Belshina surreptitiously stabbed her little sister and left her for dead before retreating with the rest of the drow aggressors.

Alynimvra was found by a cleric of Eilistraee who was helping to heal the injured surface elves of the village. Recognizing how young the girl was, the kind cleric cured Alynimvra of her injury and took the child into her home to raise as a daughter.

Now calling herself Lyta Naerth, the drow who had once been called Alynimvra is a sweet-natured and compassionate person. Lyta remembers next to nothing of her harsh early childhood in the Underdark. Lyta has devoted her heart to the moon Goddess Eilistraee, and strives to help others.

When she was a grown woman, Lyta joined a group of elven adventurers as an ambassador for the church of Eilistraee. During her travels, she met a mysterious man called Thoon with whom she fell in love.

This is a whole new character design for Lyta! I featured her in the gallery several times a few years ago, and she looked very different then. Lyta and I feel that her updated appearance better suits her gentle personality.
