Cortez from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.Drawn for the Mario's Blacklist tribute project at
Cortez is one of the cooler bosses of what is one of the greatest Mario games and one of the greatest RPG games at that. He's amusing on many levels too, be it his multi-staged battle where he takes a variety of forms, the fact he has only 20HP yet heals himself for 100HP each time he does so, or how he goes all Gollum-like whenever it's about his treasure, or how even though he's an undead, skeletal pirate, he befriends Mario and his crew and even dubs as their "taxi driver" later on XD
But most of all, Cortez is one hell of a badass design, and certainly brings a much needed pinch of true darkness to the series (as most other stuff that;'s normally creepy, like ghosts, ends up all cute and bright in Mario games XD).
Plus, he was a challenge, with his twisted design and all, but was still fun to draw nonetheless >3

Yeah it is your forte! My reason for doing it though would be because even though it's not my specialty, I still really like it and as you know, I am always looking for new things to try!

Yup, nya-nannu is one of the best artists I know when it comes to cutesy or beautiful art, so it was cute to see her all determined to try out drawing dark stuff ^w^ and even though her first "dark" arts had her trademark cuteness somewhere in there, she did better and better at it the more she tried it :3
Hehe, you should definitely check some of her arts though, it'll definitely be worth your while ^^

Nigdy bym się nie spodziewał po Marianach takiego designu bossa. Zawsze dla mnie ta seria była radosną platformówką.

No własnie o ile platformówki z Marianem sa kolorowe i radosne, o tyle RPGi z Włoskim hydraulikiem mają dość spora dawkę mroku >3
Szczególnie duzo mają go Super Mario RPG, który był robiony przez Square (cio ciekawe, na silniku który był później wykorzystany do robienia Harvest Moon'ów) to i miał co nieco rzeczy creepy lub downright dark, szczególnie główny badguy, Smithy, który chce pokryć świat narzędziami zniszczenia, oraz Super Paper Mario, gdzie ogólnie cały design jest wyjątkowo wykręcony zas niektórzy bossowie zrobieni z najczystszego nightmare fuel >D szczególnie Mimi, która podczas przemiany w swoją bojową formę, skręca sobie kark >D

Wiem, że była jakieś RPG też na GBA, gdzie księżniczce Peach kradną głos, ale za cholere nie pamiętam tytułu. A serię Paper Mario kojarzę z emulatorów N64. Co jak co, ale z tytułami od wielkiego N mam sporo zaległości ;_;

Ogólnie RPGów z Marianem jest niemało ^^
W sumie oprócz Super Mario RPG na SNESa, mamy 2 odrębne serie, Paper Mario na stacjonarne konsole oraz Mario & Luigi na handheldy. Ten na GBA, o którym mówisz to Mario & Luigi: SUperstar Saga, potem było jeszcze M&L: Partners in Time oraz M&L: Bowser's Inside Story na DSa oraz M&L: Dream Team na 3DSa (ten ostatni wyjątkowo średniacki). Jednak mimo iż owe gry były dobre, nijak nie moga się równać z serią paper Mario, która jest jedną z najlepszych serii RPGowych, jakie znam ^^, czyli Paper Mario na N64, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door na GC(zdecydowanie najlepsza), Super paper Mario na Wii (najmroczniejsza, ale dużo gorsza niż TTYD) oraz Paper Mario: Sticker Star na 3DSa (straszny słabiak).
Hehe, i nie łam się, te naprawde najlepsze tytuły z ich stajni naprawdę nietrudno nadrobić ;3

Trzeba będzie pobrać emulator Gamecube'a i nadrobić też inne pozostałe gry od Nintendo. Sama gra ma ten charakterystyczny wycinankowy styl, a muzyka daje radę (zazwyczaj ciężko ją zepsuć). Choć sam Cortez wygląda o wiele mniej demonicznie niż u ciebie na rysunku XD

A owszem, OST to zawsze najtrudniejsza rzecz do spieprzenia XD i nawet takie pomyłki jak choćby Zeldy na CDi, mimo iż sa przeokropnymi grami, to OSTy mają świetne ^^
Hehe, i o ile nie jestem jakimś wielkim fanem Nintendo i uważam, że wiele ich tytułów jest strasznie overhype'owana, o tyle seria Paper Mario naprawdę miło się wybija ^^

Well, kazda seria od Nintendo miała swojego gniota, ale oprócz gniotów takich jak Mario is Missing, Mario's Time Machine, Mario Hotel, Mario preschool Fun, Zelda: Wand of Gamelon, Link: Faces of Evil, etc.
Ale mnie chodzi raczej o całe morze średnuiaków jak np. Super Mario Sunshine, które można sobie odpuscić zwyczajnie dlatego, że są tony gier od nich lepszych i jeśli się nie jest maniakalnym fanem Nintendo czy mario, gra zwyczajnie nie jest warta zachodu <:3
