- Can see perfectly in the dark.
- Immortal (age mostly). He just kinda goes back to hell if you kill him but BOY HOWDY IS IT HARD TO LEAVE.
PS. He hates being called by his first name. He prefers just "Spiers".
EDIT: IM FINALLY HAPPY WITH THE IMAGE HOLY SHIT. Also edited the info.

Awesome looking demon form! But yes, this is a no-no, as you cannot alter the template in any way. I would choose the one you want shown on the template, then maybe add a link to his other form in the description box.

What's the difference, as long as the information is posted in the artist's comments box there isn't much change other than the removal of the sidebar. In fact, it gives plenty more room for imagery. As long as the logo hasn't been tampered with, I don't see a problem for this minor alteration. In fact, even the gradient background hasn't changed much, it's only stretched. I:

That's...just backwards logic. You're severely compromising Lulzy's artistic creativity as well as everyone else and as a host you should allow your contestants to be as creative as possible, even if it's by a minor alteration that doesn't take away, but adds to the "design" of the template by giving more room for awesome imagery! As long as the information is posted below, there isn't a problem.

So you're saying that you can't be creative and have structure at the same time? I am not hindering Lulzy's creativity just because two character designs cannot be added on to one template. Lulzy is one of the finest artistic talents in the DU just from the entries alone. As a host, I encourage creativity, but I also expect members to follow the guidelines set forth in creating this community. If this were a free-for-all, it would not be as organized as it is. This group works because of its guidelines and consistency. Yet the true creativity comes from the images and stories that members create as part of our monthly challenges, not because of a character template.

I understand the need for a certain level of consistency and you are certainly entitled to have that level of structuring as the host, but the question is why it is unacceptable as a template. The iconic logo, colors, and the overall style of the template are retained and it will only help show that DU is flexible to artistic enterprise and show that DU is robust enough in style that alterations to the template do not change that people will know it is a DU character template.
I'm not arguing Lulzy's creativity at all, she is truly one of the most creative people I know and I am happy to have her for a friend. I'm speaking specificall on the template alone.
Ultimately, you as the host are the deciding factor in all this, I am simply trying to help make sure that things are made with artistic freedom all throughout DU even down to the character references, which in themselves are just as much an artistic endeavor as the fun-filled contests and events. I believe we are at a misconception on why it is this is being done as it was not intended to offend or undermine your authority as host and I only wish to help make it easier on both the eyes for Lulzy and anyone else who feels they would need more space on the template to best show their characters.

The idea behind the template is like having a handbook (similar to how Marvel made their official guide). It included pages of character sheets that showcased their characters. The character sheets were all similar, with the exception of the character image and information about the character. The DU templates work in the same manner. It was a design choice that I decided on when creating the Deviant Universe. There's a sense of shared community to me when someone clicks on the hero or villain gallery and they see a network of character templates that all look the same, but offer different characters and information. My goal in the DU is to create a shared universe, and having a shared template is a small way of showing that.
The templates were created with a single character image in mind. A simple solution to this is to decide which form the character uses most, and make that the main character image on the template, and then add an alternate thumb image in the description box for others to view if needed. Again, I always encourage all members to be as creative as they like during the challenges, but I appreciate those that follow the guidelines and help me manage a group of over 200 members.

Sorry about that, but I need to make sure that all the templates have a similar look. Only one character can be included on the template. had to do the same with his Spook character. The preferred form was on the template, and the other form was added as a link in the description box.
