1. What programs do you use for drawing? (I mainly use Photoshop, but know how to use SAI and similar programs.)
2. What tools do you use for drawing? (I use a cheap wacom bamboo tablet, but have experiences with using a mouse to draw. XD)
3. What style of art are you aiming to achieve? (Some styles focus less on the outlines and more on other content while others, like mine, rely more on the linework.)

Uh, I use GIMP. I have paint tool SAI but for some reason it won't detect pressure when I use my Bamboo Create... I don't really know what style I want, but it's usually outline less but I also like doing outlines

Yay, GIMP! I was afraid you were going to say some alien program that I have no idea how to use. ^-^
So, first tip. If you're using a clear outline, don't rely on the colors to sort of "hide" the mistakes in the lineart. Good line work is essential.
And, now, to actually GET smooth, precise lineart. Um. There really is no easy trick to this. Unless you're in SAI, when there's a stabilizer tool to *cough* help you cheat. Otherwise, the only trick is to practice drawing smooth lines in one stroke. It's better if you use your entire arm while drawing with the tablet, not just your wrist like you do when you're writing. It's slightly easier to control. Also, it is easier to make strokes going down, so, if you really have to, rotate the canvas while you're drawing so you can have greater flexibility. Um. And, use a higher resolution so the lines will come out bolder. Um. I think that's it. I can note you if I discover anything else that I forgot to tell you.
