******************

Red had long ago heard stories of the wolf-people, great warriors of the North who turned into wolves and could not be defeated. In the wake of the violent loss of her wolf-friend, she vowed to redouble her efforts at bravery--but those who loved her reminded her also that caution was every bit as important as courage.

And indeed, her wolf-friend, when alive, had taught her that as well. The wolf had helped her to determine what prey they could hunt together, and what they should avoid for safety's sake. It had only been an accident, and the wolf's aging reflexes, that had led to the injured, raging boar attacking and killing Red's wolf-friend. Yet she gently reminded herself that more caution might--might--have saved her, though it might not have anyway.

So she wore the mask of her wolf-friend, both to terrify any adversaries, for there were still many pockets of superstition in the area, but also to remind her to slow down and look through careful eyes to avoid more needless bloodshed.

***************

This is one of the best wolf masks I've made; I started with the face skin of an Alaskan grey wolf, which I carefully reshaped and added painted details to. I also added coyote fangs as another detail, and long black leather straps to tie the mask on, though it may also be worn as a headdress if desired.

Wolf fur, leather, coyote teeth.

It is part of a set, as I mentioned in the description, and it is no longer available; my apologies.
