The Mask is here!!!!
The very first design that sparked the cursed items list, And one of my favorites this year.
It is rather simple, as a change, but I hope through it's traits exclusive enough to spark inspiration for their lore and story.

Also, it's Wednesday, my dudes! Who would have though.
Can't wait to go to bed haha

The Cursed Mask

Avoid touching it. And whatever you do, do not put it on.

Legend says that a deity once parented a young Kitsoo. A powerful one, so much, that their soul couldn't be contained in a normal bell nor lantern, as it's custom for Kitsoos all around Nio.
So the deity created a mask to give for the Kitsoo to wear, and indeed, it fit perfectly, and absorbed and gave balance to the youngling's soul.
But when you live for eons, you quickly adapt and seek new changes in life, all the time. And that happened to said deity – they grew bored of the young creature, and found their interest elsewhere.
Alone, abandoned, the Kitsoo, now big and strong, hated being left alone. So, they would cling to others, trying to find their place. Sadly, they didn't, really.
After spending their time with several deities, one of them offered the Kitsoo a curse disguised as a blessing.
They promised that they will be the very closest to the one who chooses to wear their mask.
The foo, blinded by hope of companionship, agreed to the change.
Their body became nothingness, wisped away in the wind – and the mask clattered to the ground.
Dormant, they soul of the Kitsoo waited within the terracotta item, years and months, until one day, someone finally decided to try on the mask.
The wearer's body would then twist and turn, their back stretching long, circular markings spanning across their length, their helpless screams muffled until they grow quiet.
And the once lonely Kitsoo, the cursed mask, will finally have a friend for life, with whom they can be as one. Until, or if, they decide to let them go.

Another legend says that the malevolent spirit that haunts the mask can grow an illusion of a body, white and long, like a blank canvas, that will help them cover ground to hunt for their next best victim.

Maybe you will cross paths with it one day.

But be warned.

Stretchgoal at 400 - will add 2-3 baby drawings of the mask merged with one of your own Foos, if you have them. If not, then you get some nice extra art

500 - will add a cursed SMOKE FUR trait to make them even more ghostly. And the ability to change their white fur from white to black (see image below).
If you have a different blessing/cursed idea, then I'm all ears.

Possession ability explained
Give one of your other Foolings/Kitsoos/Tanoos the mask to wear, and the cursed mask kitsoo will temporarily take over their body.
The design of the wearer will stretch long and gain additional limbs, and ther markinsg and colors will show the long circular pattern of the cursed mask kitsoo.

I accept payment plans for bids that exceed $500,
though you must contact me first before bidding!
I will ask for a nonrefundable downpayment for payment plans.
The downpayment is 50% of the total.
I prefer to do plans only with longtime customers.

Payment Plan is limited to MAX 2 months, though I highly prefer 1 month plans.
If bidding happens to exceed 1000, then I would ask for split payment.
