Just noticed I messed up and the 'rarity' bird came out too light and pinkish of a purple. Damn paint mixing skills.
I wanna sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Thank god for weekends.
I was also going to upload an earlier, second version of this but whatever.
How do birds work? .^.
Pencil, charcoal, watercolor. + Aviary for sharpening.

I would very much like to see the video, if you do decide to post it somewhere. There is something about watching an artist work and seeing their process firsthand that makes it immensely enjoyable to me.
It has already been said before, but the color you put into this one does create a very appealing piece. This is not to say that this would have fallen flat if done in black and white (it would have been great either way), but the addition of color really adds more life and contrast to this. And it still amazes me how you can work with charcoal and your work comes out as clean and smooth as it is.
Despite this being a possibly overused concept does not detract from your work in the slightest, as it is your own unique interpretation on it. Either way, I love this and I hope to see more soon!

As others have said, the little bit of color goes a long way- it definitely adds to the picture, in my opinion. Fantastic work, especially with her wings.
