Koleniko leads Kitty up the hill, the sea becoming visible near the top. He knew she wouldn't understand his fondness for the vast body of water, but had an urge to take her there. He wanted to share its beauty with her, despite what she might think. He looks back at her and smiles.
"Well, Miss Kitty the Horse. What do you think?"
"I think you should stop calling me by that title for starters," she retorts. She then looks past him to the sea. It's a calm summer's day and the stillness of the water reflects that. Having been born far away from these shores she had never seen such a large body of water before in her life. She lets out a breath she didn't realize she had been holding in. "It's beautiful, Niko."
"Pretty good for a first date, huh?" he says smoothly.
Kitty levels him with a stare. "This is not a date." And though she says it, she feels that she actually wouldn't have minded if it was.
