might as well post this! some color tests when I first came up with Comet's design. Her outfit is supposed to be reminiscent of an astronaut. Her quill shape and markings are based off comets. The bottom set are my initial colors, but the contrast and vibrancy didn't feel balanced. Especially since her stripes are supposed to glow when she's flying. I decided to go with the top set.

I don't have much for her yet in terms of personality or story! She's from another dimension and grew up at a space station. Her planet was rendered uninhabitable due to pollution or some sort of radiation, so everyone lives in a space colony that orbits it. She got sent to Sonic's dimension...somehow.

She's desperate to go back home but doesn't know how! I was thinking of making her an antagonist for Gyro; Comet thinks the Rift Onyx can open a portal back home, so she wants to "borrow" it. Gyro, ofc, doesn't like people touching her things.

Comet maybe works as a mechanic on the space station, so she knows a lot about technology. Mobius' tech is similar enough to her home dimension's (but slightly to the left and less advanced), so she needs a bit of time to figure things out. Just like I need time to solidify all these ideas XD
