Ok, this is a bit late... but I've been a little busy lately...11 years ago -on October 6th, 2000 to be exact- the first CSI episode (1x01- Pilot) aired
Synopsis (taken from Jerry Bruckheimer's blog)
Gil Grissom is the supervisor of the graveyard shift of Las Vegas’ elite crime scene investigators. Holly Gribbs, fresh out of the academy, joins the team. Jim Brass is head of the unit and is trying to scare Gribbs from CSI. Catherine Willows, mother of a young daughter, is the number two CSI on this shift. Warrick Brown and Nick Stokes are competing to solve their 100th case to earn a promotion to CSI 3. Grissom investigates a murder staged to look like a suicide with precious little evidence. Warrick and Catherine take the case of a drunk who breaks into the house where he had been staying and is shot to death. Nick talks to a man who picked up a woman who drugged and robbed him.
Personally, I think is an awesome episode, makes you want to watch more, like a pilot is supposed to do...
So... Happy 11 years to CSI! (11 years, 12 seasons and still the best!)

Even if he's been a great boss, I don't miss too much Grissom.
I think I prefer Raymond because Grissom was... weird in his own particular way. For me he was a trifle too apathetic for my liking (god, now I know I'll be swamped by critics)
This is my opinion and I don't claim that everyone agrees with me...
But I have to admit that these have been 11/12 years in their company!!

hmmm... for me both characters were interesting in their own way, and I like the new ones too... most people didn't like all the changes of the cast... but I think it's part of what keeps the show "alive", each character with their own personality/story, and they fit perfectly (writers merit, I guess), that doesn't mean we won't miss those who have left, but it's interesting to see new faces...
like I always say "I'll watch until the end"

This is great! I never thought someone could express in one wallpaperish pic all 11 seasons, and the start of the 12th.
I kind of like Molly (Ecklie's daughter), but I think she's there because Catherine is leaving. Which pisses me off! I love Catherine! The only original cast members left would be Nick, Greg, Sara, Brass, Dr.Robbins, Hodges, and David Phillips. Which seems like a lot, but the only original CSIs would be Nick, Greg, and Sara. Grissom come back!
He is supposed to make actual screen time this year.
As much as people piss and moan, I still love this show! And probably will till it's end.
