(I can almost feel my page growing more and more niche as the days pass. Seriously me? Video Game Based Mind Control Roleplaying. Good god. Anyway, this is 2B from a game called NiER: Automata. There's a sigh. "Alright, alright. Give me a second..." There's a whirring and humming, then... a projection appears in the air.
An android body sitting in a chair jerks to life. Heβs wearing pants, but a quick scan shows the legs to be mostly inoperational. It takes a moment to recognize, but that's definitely an old YorHa scanner model...

She almost looks shocked, but keeps it in check

"I think so. Don't really remember much, from before the facility." He shrugs. "Will you come in now?"

She asks, still suspicious.
βAre you even Yorha affiliated?β

"No, I don't think so... I might have been, once."

She scowls.

"Did you look at the records down there? I'm lucky I got out without much worse than fried memory circuits."

Sheβs easy on the eyes, but not a great conversationalist

(So thus far I'm enjoying the story and characters, but a lot of the game/level design is frustrating.)
"It's safe in here." He shrugs. "There are plenty of machines around here. Don't really want them overhearing our conversation."

(The Combat is very hack and slash. I recommend using the easy mode chips if youβre struggling. Where are you finding problems with the level design?)

She asks, still bombarding you with questions

(The combat's fine, actually. Mostly having problems with determining what is and isn't an invisible wall, and figuring out how the hell to get anywhere. Also I lost like 3 hours of progress 'cause I got stuck in the bunker and self-destructed, and apparently quicksaves aren't good enough for that.)
"I'm not! Didn't you just get a message?" She did, the commander herself ordered 2B not to attack unless attacked first.

(Yeah. The quicksave function irritates me as well. Always save whenever you get the chance. That was the main pitfall of the game when I started. Agree with the invisible wall thing as well. The story makes it very worth it in my opinion however.)
She tries to radio the commander again.
βThe Target is a scanner model. Very old. How should I proceed? Heβs asking me to get into some large machine.β

(Any tips on upgrading/using chips, weapons, etc.?)
The Commander's gone back to Commander business. 6O responds, her voice a little dreamy--the scanner is rather handsome.
"I think you should... Um, right! Risk analysis suggests this is no greater threat than others you have successfuly matched in the past!" She corrects herself.

(Use whatever weapons look cool! I liked using two small swords. Chips is all based on what weapons you like using. For small swords I liked lots of HP Vamp.))

Begrudgingly, she steps towards the large machine.
βI will not hesitate to fight back however.β
She comments to the scanner

"No need to worry." She has to hunch over to fit through the door--it's obviously designed for smaller models.
The scanner inches forward on his chair in the small enclosure, hand extended to her.

"Fair enough... There's still something to be said for pleasantries, but fine. So what did you want to ask?"

"I'm... well, I've taken to calling myself Frank. Based on an old human book I found. I guess I'm here because there's a lot of good scrap and power supplies, and plenty to read... I don't know my model."

She asks

"Well, I don't think so. But I don't know very much about YorHa."

She radios up

"Find out a little more about him, 2B! You're here to gather intel!" She reprimands. "And would it kill you to be a little more polite? First impressions are important, y'know!"

"Mostly trying to build up this rig. It's going alright, but there's a lot of data I'm missing for some important improvements." I shrug. "How about you?"

She asks, eager to learn more

"Storing and processing data, mostly. I've got more than I could ever fit in an android body here. Usually I'm plugged into the rig directly, but it's a bit more personal this way."

Her eagerness never fades.

βWell, we usually fight the machine army and help out the human resistance.β

(Wait, isn't the resistance also androids? Or is that a spoiler?)
"How were you started? And why do you do these things?"

(Androids were built by the people on the moon. Resistance were people left behind. Yorha helps them out, but theyβre not the same entity.)
βMost of the human race are on the moon! And we were built by them! We do it because we were built to serve them!β

βBecause they invaded earth, and the humans want us to destroy them so they can come back to earth!β
