It really reminds me of comics from the 70s and 80s what really comes to mind is the Wolfman and Prez Teen Titans not sure if you were trying to emulate that style but it really looks good

Epic artwork, buuuuut.... I question just one thing...
Lapis once stole the entire ocean to GTFO of thisΒ miserableΒ little planet...
Peridot has been doing nothing but trying to GTFO of thisΒ miserableΒ little planet since season 2...
Jasper has a long history of trying to enslave/destroy/whatever-the-fuck-gems-do-to-conquered-worlds this miserableΒ little planet...

I think that Peridot, Lapis and Jasper will enter the Crystal Gems formation. Peridot will be exyled by Yellow Diamond, addressed as "defective" because she learnt on earth too many things that don't suits her role. Jasper will be left behind because she's too uncontrollable, and failed her mission. Lapis will join because she's Steven's friend.Β
The two "evil" gems will be welcome by Steven, always cheerful and friendly to everyone, even his enemies (remember the "have a nice weekend") because now it's time for Steven to create his OWN "crystal gems".Β
Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl are Steven's friends, but basically more teachers than mates, and are the Rose's "Crystal Gems". Not Steven's.Β
Usually in this kind of story we're at the point that the main character (Steven) shows to his actual "enemies" (lapis and jasper) something different from everything they knew, this bringing them to his side (something like Vegeta in Dragonball, starting as a villain, but ending up being one of the main "good" characters)
Jasper and Peridot were shown too early in the show to stay as actual vilains, the time was more the one still introducing the main characters group.Β
I think that by the end of the second season Lapis, Jasper and Peridot will be by Steven's side.

Peridot's been confirmed to have partnered up as a CG. Lapiz is probably next (though she doesn't really need a redemption arc considering she saved Steven and just really needs to see the value in Earth the way Peridot did) and then Jasper (who's likely gonna be a more difficult case because she seems more indoctrinated to Homeworld and its teachings).
