Description As I said before in the comments, I wasn't too pleased with the materials in this, so I did another version but now I can't decide which one I like better

IMO, I'd say that both version are equally awesome, but this one here suits better the atmosphere you're reproduced. And the glass of wine makes all the difference. Just stunning

The problem is that after I created the material I realised that I didn't know what is was....metal/non metal? ..... Blue cheese from Lidl?

The glass is there just to suggest size .... In C4D V4's default height is 763cm (???), so this glass is about 6 metres high, containing about 2000 bottles of wine

Ha ha... In my region, when you ask someone: "do you want some more to drink", the other person often respond "Yes, but just two fingers". Depending on who responds, that can means this:

Even more if you are flexible enough (with my hands, I can measure 25cm)

"Blue cheese from Lidl"?
Do you mean "Bleu de Bresse"?

I think you're right....I only wish I'd used a displacement map on the hair

I used to date her. Although she was always horny, I found her batty nature draining.

I think for some unknown reason all Tracys are horny (Paulines as well)
Actually I have a cousin called Tracy, haven't seen her since '69, the family all went off to Oz when she was 7, never to be seen again
Glad you noticed the name.... I just thought "What's the least likeliest name for a demonette?"  .....Tracy!!!

That Tracy! The one that went to OZ?! Tracy! Good ol' Tracy! I've got knowledge of her! Crickey mate! I've been seeing your cousin Tracy since '72! She lives next door to Sheila and Bruce and that bloke with the Didgeridoo, though you can get a cream for that now... I've been seeing her for years! Jeez.... Tracy and you related... who would have guessed.

Never spoken to her mind... just been seeing her walking about the place, as you do. Well I think its her. There can't be many Tracy's in Oz. Surely.

You know me - I'm loving the textures and the reflections...  oh my god, did you do it?  Did you put the "observer" in the frame??   Oh wait, no - I think I got a little excited there - that's the bottle of wine I see in the wine glass, right?

I do like that who ever lives here is a fan of obscure, Victorian regiments.  Nice touch, that.

Sorry phraught, but I promise you that it did cross my mind!  (In any event the photographer's reflection would have appeared between the reflected bottle and statue, producing one big black patch on the glass).
As I just mentioned to Blades-123, I'm going to invent some better materials and rerender it using SSS, which had caused enormous problems, that's why I scrapped it...

Just discovered the reason>>> I split V4 into all of her component parts and then applied the materials to each individual part. But when I used SSS I had two very different shades of subsurface scattering across her stomach/thighs, obviously caused by the shadow cast by the wing ...I changed the SSS depth, the lighting, etc. but to no avail

"I split V4 into parts".... Duh!!! The poor program was evaluating SSS penetration per part not the whole ..... Reconnected the parts into one OBJ and, as they say in Finland, et voilà!!! When you're as stupid as me even the F%$#n ' obvious can seem awesome!

Yeah - I caught my mistake, but went with the first impression anyway - I agree, it would have been too much / too weird.

Interesting about the SSS and parts.   Doing things in a different way than expected or intended does sometime yield interesting results - but it also leads us out into the weeds where the obvious is...  as they way in Latvia, camouflaged.

Cheers Blades-123!
I must admit that the textures are nice but they ain't what I wanted!!!! I ended up with a porcelain effect and F&%# knows what type of metal it is!
Think I'll have to retexture it and try for an ivory/burnished bronze, which should be fun given that I'm quite hard of thinking and just make it up as I go along
