Description
Snowed in at the moment which means I didn't have to do the shopping so I used all the extra time wisely (or maybe not)....Now I'm going to have supper...Hang on...Where's the shopping? Oh no, there's no food in the house

Somehow, your nun reminded me of the late Clovis Trouille's very hot illustrations

forgive me father for I have sinned...it's been forty years since my last confession... should I just give you the highlights? Or should that be low lights...

Highlights, lowlights.... I'm sure it involves a wanton use of bellybuttons! Adam and Eve had no bellybuttons...You're a deviant blackjamie, a deviant I say!

"God Squad"?
Pretty sure that the Catholic Church wouldn't suffer of lack of believers with such squads... Oh My...
That being said: it's absolutely gorgeous

Thanks Y-Phil. I must admit I did spend a lot of time and effort on the architectural splendor of the temple

That's how the movie industry functions, isn't it?

Sadly I think it's how everything functions nowadays. This city was "European Green Capital 2012" thanks to similar "illusions"

Mother F--N' Superior about to impart hole-y-ness via fire and brimstone from her canon of scriptures
To reflect upon a favorite line from the incomparable film "Yellowbeard" She loves all heathens... she's simply helping them get to Heaven quicker than they would of their own accord

Yellowbeard too
! I thought I was the only one ever to have seen it
Complete flop here! A bit like Erik the Viking, which was way, way better than The Holy Grail yet hardly a ticket sold

I've spent the whole morning speaking with an ominous Karloff lisp... "Oh yeth, I would indeed like thum coffee!" (Wife and son totally freaked out...Daughter not here to join in with me ) Naturally I blamed you, "NITHLabthsss" ... Which they accepted as a valid argument

Grew up loving all things Python and Marty Feldman to boot, so was natural that even though it wasn't huge here either I came across it and have been a fan ever since
On a side note a friend got me this for my birthday a few years back... Before Python when they and Marty Feldman were on a show together "At Last the 1948 Show" youtu.be/8CIACqpidRM youtu.be/-a-DsIo81e8
If you really want to freak them, I'll accept blame again... Karloff them some more... as Karloff being Imhotep reading the Grinch

If you really want a treat try to hunt down the "Round the Horne" radio shows, that's where Feldman really started as a writer... It shaped all British comedy from ´64 onward. Thanks to you I'm Listening to the Panto episode (Might be a bit too British for my American cousins)

love all the textures and
the stained glass light is a nice touch.

more personality. (God Squad my ass)

Cross draw...indeed! I actually sat here last night trying to draw the imaginary pistol out of its equally imaginary holster and I just couldn't do it, it was just too high on her waist.... 3D rendering can indeed be 100% fully interactive.
"God Squad my ass" : From what I've read I think that is one of their favoured methods, although you and I might be 40 years too old for an official God Squad "hit" - May those sickos all burn in their self-invented hell

Oh no! I'll be good!! I promise!
I'm sure she'll have none of that. It's just that the church thing was never a habit I could bet into. Besides, where would she hide all that hair??
(I should leave the puns to the NICE man… )
I do love the belt! And the matching cross - and lipstick.
(Fraud? Nah - that's like saying that Edison didn't illuminate the world - he cheated by inventing the light bulb to do it for him.)
Always fun to find out more of how you work.

"Never a habit..." Groaaaaaaan!
"God Squad" is gently curved along the belt although not "projected" as with the "M". And there is actually a single dynamic hair in this one...The necklace, pinned at either end under the cowl and then dropped to collide with the body ....That gave me a spline on which to thread the beads. The whole "emsemble" is made up of 14 basic shapes (including the belt: 2 rectangles stitched together) and then all made to fit her using the famous "boneless, rigless OBJ MDD" animation file (the only way to go!)
I honestly think Edison invented nothing at all....Clever business man, granted, but inventor....Mmmm. I'm a Tesla guy myself!

14 basic shapes - amazing. Reminds me of a ½ hour commercial from long ago (early 60's?), before they were known as infomercials, that claimed you could learn to draw or paint like the great masters if you could master these basic shapes - I think a cube, a sphere and a cone.
I'm with you on Edison - Tesla was the genius!

As per usual there's nothing more than what's seen (No church, just a small wall)... The stained glass lighting on her/pews is the light+coloured transparency channel....

PETA will be glad to hear that!
Actually I'm quite taken with the Image.
Technically, strait forward and well done.
Contextually, has a great dark humor aspect to it.
And I've learned to not listen to whatever my dog
says about art. Dogs' eyes have no red color receptors,
so everything is blue and green to her. I'll trust her
sense of smell, but not her taste in art.
