Description
MSC 3!A northern European woodland camouflage pattern for the Camo Club's Midsummer Camo Challenge.
I've been out of it for a while, and I really couldn't wait to contribute, so I'm excited about this one.
It's a tad rough in some of the areas of smaller blobs, but not too bad. I might clean it up a bit later if I need to.
This one picked up a tad of influence from the Finnish M05 "Pakkaskuvio" forest pattern and new Dutch fleck, with their use of gray, and Danish woodland fleck with its emerald green. Since the challenge is to make a camouflage suitable for Northern Europe I figured these stylistic elements would be suitable for the pattern.
Feel free to snip out the pattern in the square and use it for what you wish. (I'd like to see, if it's cool!)
Uses ~Tounushi 's camo tool and Midsummer's samples .
Made in GIMP.

Great camo,
But in order to make it more effective across Northern EU, I would put in some semi-dark brown as it now would still have its limitations on the mainland. I do think this pattern would be great for greenforest/mountain situations, especially in spring . Nicely done !

Excellent, thank you for your suggestion. I'm working on a quite different woodland pattern now, coincidentally, one that has a lot more darker browns in it to blend into fallen leaves and bark.

Yes indeed! I ended up with 7 in the one used above, though I have a full-color version too.

Looking nice! I like how the macropattern of what seems to be diagonal stripes is textured with your micropattern of blobs. Looks good in the sample, too!

Thanks! This one was made mostly for fun, but I tried to make it usable as well.

I see the influence from the new dutch pattern.
Also, the text style is very cool! It has a retro look to it.

Indeed, though it lost much of its gray with tweaking. It also lost its vibrant olive during tweaking, that was reminiscent of the rusty brown in the Dutch pattern.
Heh, the font is called "Husky Stash" and makes me chuckle. I was initially skeptical, but when I saw what the M and S did, I couldn't resist.
