Kit tries textures on her painting... Does it look okay? ahhLink is fun to paint though. But it's also fun to actually play I need to save up to buy new games or hopefully a new console...

I especially like how you did the texture. Unlike a lot of people out there, you actually rotated it/made it fit in the... direction that the fabric is kinda going??? i dunno what you call that
People like me using textures would just slap it on there. Rotating? NAH too much effort.
The lighting is just spot on, too. 
Critique incoming! Don't read if you don't like critiques! I'm really sorry if it's kinda bad. I don't feel too comfortable giving critiques since people react in different ways >_>
One thing that I did notice is, though... his face is a bit out of proportion. I think it's because you made his upper lip too big, and his chin curves in a bit too soon? His lower lip is also a little too bright and doesn't have enough shadow to it.
I think a good way to fix this is to make the nose end halfway between the eyes and the chin. (the eyes need to be in the centre of his head, horizontal centre)
His forehead doesn't really line up with his chin either, and it's kinda... flat? The part where the eyebrow is should stick out more. Don't worry, I've also had difficulties with face side-views. Guidelines really help.
Something other than his face: the triforce on his shield looks like it's just kinda floating there. I'd recommend that since it appears to be metal, make it reflect a little bit more of the blue from the shield. That way, it makes it "merge" with the shield.

Yeah, the shield... haha. I actually already put it into perspective and added shadow and everything. But it still looks off to me too. I tried pushing it more but it just got worse, so I let it be. Reflections would help hmm... I'll have to play with that.
Face profiles are tricky! Especially since anime or game characters don't follow the real-life human skull formula. Maybe if I flip this over all the drawing errors will appear to me too haha.
Some artists really do not like to get crit. I've been to an art school and I've met lots. If they reject whatever you tell them that's cool. It's their own to take or not anyway. But like it makes me happy that artists like you are out there to help others! I might have to edit some of my art before printing them for cons. So I really appreciate crits like yours! Thanks for that

There was this one artist who blocked me after I gave her a very nice crit with plenty of meat to it (she was just using soft brush on everything -_-) so I kinda got traumatised after that. The salt is real with some people out there.
