once again,
i love this too.
the hand
the heads without faces.
the telephone line with birds.
so lonely,
but also really releasing.
your work inspires me.
beautiful.

this is really amazing. i love the crisp whiteness of the heads besides the browns. personally, i saw this as letting go of all the different moods and feelings going on in my head, leaving me with calm. but, the whole reason i like this so much is cos of the ambiguity. well done... im impressed.

i have just spent about 15 minutes looking at this, truly an amazing piece of work
i love the way you have used the lines to draw the shapes and make them flow
thank you for sharing this beautiful art with us
im inspired to make the most of all medium now
i find my meaning, and how i see it is letting go incomplete relationships - ones that you know wont improve or last,
but they ar the relationships with people you love most, the people you give your heart to
dont ask how it works, it just does

Wow
fantastic, I like the way the heads jump out at you
the mix of digital and traditional works well
but I still cant decide what it all means, I'm sure it will come to me later

Superb. I love the brown packaging background and the white heads really *pop*. The thin wire and the birds is a nice touch as well

Honestly this is one of my favorite piece from you!

I really like it! Gr8 job!
Take care

... the cardboard supply is running short but it has been a trip!
And Dante... thats a very intense person to remind to you of... and i think i'll take it as a comliment.

Shedding responsibility? At first it looked like the body was being weighed down with all those people. But the details read otherwise, I too was reminded (perhaps ridiculously) of a daft American movie where teary-eyed kids send their dog/deer/alien off into the wild.
The blue is a wonderful little touch, and your work on the human anatomy is becoming more and more stimulating. My favourite was the little white bird - I would of said a crow, but for the beak. Wood pigeon? Now you've really got me thinking : )

madhs In reply to pename [2004-05-20 10:48:48 +0000 UTC]
the image seems to work both ways...
and yup...i did get a lil teary eyed when i let my lil people go.
I've just shooed the pigeon off my balcony... it should reach you some time soon.

this is nice, but i fail to understand that what does it represents. isit like handling too many people at a time, or is it letting go some memories. though its nice

madhs In reply to oaktree622000 [2004-05-20 08:20:03 +0000 UTC]
...the fun is letting it speak to you whichever way you let it.

ochre goodness.
and floating heads, are they enlightened?
i think mine would be falling like a brick.
of course, if my disembodied head did happen to be in your hand,
and you tried to let it go, i dont think it would want to leave...
and it would be a typical scene out of some tear-jerker animal movie
where the animal is being released back into the wild, and keeps looking back with a sad face
and you would have to say
Shoo! go on now! Be freeeee! GO

madhs In reply to parl-sky [2004-05-20 10:53:51 +0000 UTC]
that just made up for you being away for soooo *&^@!'n long!
For the record...if your disembodied head did happen to be in my hand,
I wouldn't let it go.

it gets lost in all that brown and doesn't emphasize the action of releasing the heads... tried it but went this one finally...
