Napoleon, a tiny little man,
had a couple thousand men…
He marched them halfway into Russia
Then got stuck marching them out again.

And when they were in, they were dying,
And when they were out they were dead.
But even only halfway in
They were dying or were dead.

There was a man with a moustache,
And pitch black ‘Aryan’ hair.
He promised not to invade Poland,
Then went and pitched his war tent there.

And when he came in Jews got out,
And when they got out they were in pain.
So he rounded them up like cattle and calves
Branding them so they could always be caught again.

A King who liked to locksmith,
Had a wife, Marie Antionette,
They were both guillotined during a revolution
And I’m afraid they lost their heads.

And when they were rulers, they were bad,
Indecisive and lacking in grit.
And when they were prisoners in the Bastille,
They didn’t have the disposition for it.

Good old Maggy had to learn
Proper diction and how to pronounce her words,
For the British parliament didn’t take to her country drawl
With the seriousness it deserved.

And once she could speak, oh she spoke,
And once she could speak, oh they listened.
She turned British politics upside down
And reformed those politicians.

In the olden days of yore,
Young women were branded witch –
Best hide your talents for herbs and healing,
Least they drown you in a ditch.

And when they were wrong, they still killed,
And when they were right, they still killed,
And so many young women lost their lives
That the witches remaining were stilled.
