The Crested Ibis looks strange because it seemed like it had no eyes but when I googled images of it I found the picture you used as reference and lordy that bird does not look like it had eyes in that pic.
And the way you drew the second to fourth birds makes it look like there is a story behind them.
The Hook Billed Hermit has a smug look on it's face, the Akohekohe looks depressed, and the Florida Scrub Jay looks like he is totally judging the Hermit for something he did. XP

I wasn't focusing on those eyes so yeah, they're not exactly rendered XD
Edit: and it didn't indeed look like it had eyes in the pic. Maybe it was blinking?
