Hi - sorry for the late response. You can edit the png files yourself - they're located at /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources. Make sure you're using the 2D dock and replace the relevant png files with transparent pngs. There's applications such as Mirage which will help you do this:

thank you for your reply and suggestion.
i altered the dock.app resources a long time ago and it worked until some system update broke it, so mirage.app might be the answer.

i give it a go. no further assistance needed but the offer is much appreciated --thanks!!

It's a skin called Flashlight.
Go to QS prefs > Plugins > All plugins > Interfaces.

It should appear under Preferences > Appearences for you to customize. I made mine match the Spotlight colours.

Many thanks, and thank you very much for your wallpaper! Even though originally called "Chill", I think I made it quite autumn-like .
