Updates
note me if problem is still there. thanks!
Compatibility
and to those with .NET Fw lower than 3.5 (possibly 2.0) installed, please try if Imagepad will run in your system. note me. I am trying to make this app compatible as it can be.
How to
- Right-click on desired image file (.png | .jpg | .bmp | etc.)
- From the context menu, choose to "Open with..." > "Select program"
- A dialog box will appear, browse the location of "Imagepad.exe" and check the "Set as default viewer for all file types" box.
After long hours of coding and debugging I finally made two steps to completing my dream image viewer.
Please
~ Enjoy.

When are you going to release the final version?
Can u make it a little faster on startup and there are no next previous buttons for loading images from a folder?
By the way a nice app man.

I like this app, but will there be a proper installer version soon?

It's very slow to load (5 seconds+) even after the first time, and it seems to not remember preferences, like canvas set to grey (it always appear white on next program start) and ribbon not hidden (always defaults to hidden).
I have to save my preferences somehow or there is somthing I am missing here?

When multiple images are loaded.
You may hover your mouse cursor below and the navigation buttons will pop-up.
It's designed that way to make it more clean.
Hope this helps.

uh... may be is more logical to show next/prew buttons whenever in the same folder as the public image there are other pictures? as in the standard viewer.

Personally, I opened all the images in the folder with it, then I could go forward and back among them.

Your welcome!
-Btw I was surprised by how well your program handled gif images. I didn't even think that it would handle them at all!

Brilliant! I love it! I have one question though - would you mind telling me what API you used for the ribbon control? I have been using one for WPF, but would prefer one that doesn't require that i use WPF.

I've another bug (on Windows 7 Ultimate x64)
When I click the Home button, the window size increases. If I do it several times, the window is huge and can't fit in the screen. This bug doesn't appear when the window is maximized.
For the Aero Glass problem, I've a suggestion: the 2 DLL I can see with your app, are they 64-bit compatible? If not, ImagePad will have problem with Windows x64.

MAGNUMHEARTED In reply to SpringsTS [2010-11-13 07:16:01 +0000 UTC]
Yeah~ that size increasing bug is really strange.
I'm making plans for it on the next release.
The component is 64-bit capable, no problem with that. I'll try to create an update to fix 64-bit aero problems. Stay tuned.

I downloaded it. Good job, the Aero bug is gone
(But there is still the increasing size bug XD)
I think ImagePad will be my default image viewer when you release it ^^

Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah~ I'll get back working on it if I have time.
Please consider ignoring the bug atm.
It's a glitch on the component (dll)

Have you tried to set it manually?
There's no button yet to set it automatically but it's possible using the "Open with..." method
I'll be adding steps on how to set it manually later.

Everyone pls check out the details above. (on the description) and note me your answers so you can me help out what's causing yours to crash. I checked it on my laptop with Windows XP SP3 + .NET 3.5 installed. And so far there's no crash problems and file association seems to be working good.
