Description Here are steps on my roller zombie..

1. I start by quickly sketching the image.

2. On another layer I start building the shadows and lights in the image.

3. I start adding details in hair etc.

4. I make another layer and set it on overlay or soft light. Overlay gives brighter colors but increases contrast which hinders the visibility of midtones.

5. I ad a texture of the surface of a rock and set it on soft light. I also use LIQUIFY to make the texture a bit rounder on the face. You can find liquify from filters almost at the top.

6. I ad color to the background and work on details.

7. Yet again I ad details. During this proces i ad a lot of new layers so when I don't like something I can just remove the layer.

8. Final adjustments and I'm done. Before posting the picture to the internet I sharpen it so the details remain.

A lot of people don't recommend it but I flatten my image a lot at the first. Hair, clothing and almost everything is on the same layer. This way I can keep the image size small and the computer runs smoother. At first I was more insecure about it and had hair, clothing etc on separate layers but as time goes by you get more confident and the layers lessen. But I do not recommend this to anyone since I think everyone should try and find their own way of working.Work with what you are most comfortable with.

I also made my own hair brush for this picture and if you wanna know how one is done lemme know and I'll post a tut on it Hope this helps! The mouth on this chick bothers me but eh..better luck next time right?
