Minnie stopped walking. She and Arielle had arrived at a small clearing with strange, colorful flowers dotting the dark grass. They had been walking in the forest for hours and it was getting dark.
"I don't think we should be walking in the woods now, it's kind of late," Minnie called towards Arielle.
Arielle turned around. "Don't worry Minnie, we'll be home soon. We just need to keep going straight, and we'll be out of here in no time, I think...."
"We're lost, aren't we," said Minnie flatly.
Arielle frowned. "Maybe we just need to wait until somebody comes through here. Then we can ask for directions."
"I don't know Arielle, this doesn't seem like the place minkin would visit for fun,"
"Then," replied the blue minkin, "We just need to make the best of the situation!"
She looked around, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the strange little flowers. "Come on! We can pick these flowers! Oooh, aren't they pretty?" She lifted her head, a small bunch of colorful flowers held carefully in her mouth.
Minnie glanced around worriedly, wondering what could be hiding behind the dark trees, before bending down and picking her own flowers.
"Look, there are some more over there!" Arielle mumbled happily, turning and following the little trail of bright flowers. Minnie followed, occasionally picking a flower here and there, before gasping delightedly. The trail had led them out of the forest!

Aaah so I really wanted a chance to win my own minkin, so here's my prompt entry for the raffle.
Arielle belongs to confetti , thanks so much for letting me use her! I tried to stick with her bright, optimistic personality here, I hope it shows <3
