Just look at my latest deviation; sadly, my scanner on my printer is broken, so it doesn't look right at all ;_;

And all excuses aside, it's just not good.

It just got accepted into the #Monsters-University group, so that's something ^^

um, um... well i guess it's because in that phase i usually redraw almost everything a lot of times until i'm satisfied, and sometimes i/m not at all and have to continue another day... i guess you get to this with lots of practice which is what i do while redrawing like, 500 times srsly T vT 

about facial expressions i remember when i was starting at drawing [about 15 years ago or something TvT] i used to draw a lot of straw people . u. is that what they're called? in different poses and doing different stuff... like running or dancing, crying and mocking other straw men xD with that i got a lot of learning on real simple facial expressions OvO i'd encourage you to five it a got, maybe it'll help you too c:

and don't worry, what you picture in mind, almost NEVER seems like the final product T vT at all.

its ok! it was still VERY helpful.

So I should start with straw people then once I feel comfortable with that I can move on to more detailed pictures once I feel i am confident to move on!

yeah! this way once you've understood how human body works movement and poses are easier because you can just SEE it naturally while drawing O uO
