Looking through old files, I noticed one with various sketches of odd creatures. So yeah...they were doodles that eventually led to the design of the Linkha, the smaller mouse-like race on Kheji. Hard to believe some of the alternate ideas...The final design was shown before, but I colored it this time. This is actually the coloring of Steve, Calcite's little buddy. He has his fur dyed in a color that that matches Calcite's fur dye.
EDIT: My apologies, I am an IDIOT. The doodles I found before came two years (2016) after the Linkha design was finalized. Not sure what made me think they were before that point...I still don't really know what they were about. Regardless, the doodles that are still here are ACTUALLY what led to the Linkha design.

Either way, still a very interesting perspective into the creation of the Linkha. I really should come up with Lead's Linkha companion at some point. I have a feeling he'd name him "Pencil" for some reason.
