Yay! I love Blind Guardian! This and GWAR were the bands that introduced me to metal music! I remember hearing their song "Battlefield" in the game "Robot Unicorn Attack: Heavy Metal edition" back when I played the game at 9 years old. I always thought the music was awesome, yet scary at the same time as a kid, which is why I didn't get into metal music yet. Years later, I remember my friend asking me and a group of friends a question about "A song that gave us chills for the first time we heard it". Everyone replied with modern pop songs like stuff from One Direction or Justin Bieber. However, I had the balls to say "BattleField! It's the song in the heavy metal edition of Robot Unicorn attack! I got goosebumps near the end when the singer yelled out 'Don't you hear me crying!' It's such a powerful song!". Everyone was like "What are you on about?" in their heads. So, on that day after school, I did extensive research of who made that song and what kind of genre it was. When I found out it was a band called "Blind Guardian" and the song was a form of "Power Metal", I was hooked!
And so, this is how Blind Guardian introduced me to Power Metal music! As of GWAR, they introduced me to both Heavy Metal and Thrash Metal!

Quiet Riot and Metallica were the 1st metal bands I listened to. Later I found Queensryche and Helloween!

My fav BG album is Somewhere Far Beyond. The song "Journey Through The Dark" is awesome!!

I actually haven't checked that one out yet. I'll give it a look in a while. I think my favourite BG album is "A Twist in the Myth", but honestly, every album is so good!
