I look at this and the first thing I can think is "liquid": it's full of waves and movement, but in a calm and relaxing way; the colours blend with each other in harmony without hurting the eyes or creating confusion. I can't say the picture tends to realism, but it doesn't need it, it's likelooking at a peaceful fantasy world through a window. And the princess is very beautiful, with those bright eyes and flowing hair, congratulations

I have several things to say about your picture here, both good and bad. Let's start with the bad things that I noticed. First off, the side of her face that is away from the audience should be a little more angular. It also should be a little less gray if your intent there was to perform some shading. I can't really tell what that thing is on her hand, so clarification in some manner would be really nice. Her hand also seems a little awkward with her pointer finger and index finger curled back. Another detriment I noticed is that the color's on the girl blend together very well while in some areas (the glass windows) it comes off a little blatant. Now let's talk about some good things. Like I mentioned, the coloring looks really good on the girl herself, they blend together very smoothly. The particle effect is also very nice. It is noticeable yet humble in it's presentation within this piece. The colors on the wall are just a wave of beauty that can't be resisted, really good job there. I also feel like the transparency is supposed to have some impressionistic meaning, which is always good in my book. Though, something that confuses me is the title; are you using the Japanese word for princess?

Hope I was able to help you out. Keep pursuing art.

Thank you for the critique , I will take everything yu said in consideration for the next drawing .
I meant t draw a butterfly on her hand  after 7 hours of doing the background I kind of went lazy with many things though )
And about a title :
Yes , it was originally for a con about fantasy ,  A big part was Japanese fantasy , japanese horror , I drew this inspired by celtic and arabian myhtology to some point , so at ease I wanted the title to be related t the con to some point . ( naiad princess actually  ).
But I was a bit of a coward and not really sure what to do , so I ended up not entering anyhitng , and not even sure yet if I'll go to the con.

Hello kaya---chan. I'm commenting here in relation to your post on project comment. This is my first time doing critique of this nature so I apologize if this isn't exactly how I'm meant to do it. First off your use of color and overlap of color and paint strokes here is marvelous it really brings out the ethereal nature of this fantasy piece. I especially love how you've done it in the water with the plant life and your mermaid's hair. It just works so well! That said I think you could incorporate that kind of wispy line like style into the way you've constructed the mermaid herself. I feel as though in contrast to her surroundings and hair she is almost too solid? I think it could look really nice if you were to put more of those ethereal highlights and shapes on her face as though it's reflecting from the water. I also just realized that I only assumed she was a mermaid because of the ethereal nature of the drawing but whether she is or not I really think this looks spectacular and it has an amazingly calming atmosphere fantastic work.
