Description
Looks like fun, huh. Well don't fool yourself, this is the shorebreak at the famous Waimea Bay. Lifeguards will only allow the most experienced bodyboarders to surf at this spot. Forget about how big the wave is, its the thickness that will consume a rider in seconds.Thanx for viewing,
Aloha, Mana

Nice shot and.. I know how the waves can be dangerous (not as often, but occasionally there are huge waves around Sydney too).
I am not sure what equipment you have, but there is some good news (maybe):

Just incredible. To me, the ocean is one of the most amazing things the entire world has to offer.

Have you ever wondered if the ocean was completely drained like a pool what we would find there? I mean I bet there is life down there we don't even know about, its like another entire world down there. And yes I always wanted to be Areil from the Little Mermaid.

That scenerio reminds me of certain days when the waves are super big and then the tide gets really low, as a set of waves begin to approach from outside, they suck even more water from the shoreline. This opens a brief window of oppurtunity to run down to the exposed shoreline and look for shells that are being washed in. [link]

Kainoa is one of my good friends, he mainly just surfs now, he even shapes his own boards. He's usually at Pipe when the waves are big...thanx for the fav.

This photo makes the viewer feel the force of the water. It looks like it could snap a person's spine.
