thanks eric! it will be colored and booch will be doing his magic. something is always lost once it goes from black and white to color specially for us pencilers! I think we just grow too attatched to it. And thanks glad you liked the shingles they were hard to do since the angle was kinda..well hard. I kinda just blobed the ink around. Thats what I love about brushes!

Wait, what?! Can't people appreciate some kick ass gray scale brush work when it's staring them in the face? Does all art have to be in colour to be acceptable? This page has already been resolved in its rendering. The washes already speak for itself. You don't need to add colour and the only colour I can foresee possibly doing justice for the work instead of hindering it is if this is printed on lightly coloured paper. But knowing comics it'll most likely be printed on glossy white newsprint or thicker quality glossy white paper if warranted.
Of course you can try prove me wrong. Surprise me.

well I kinda knew before hand that it would be in color. I'd find it hard to believe that DC would allow one of their higher profile books to be in black and white. I think we as artists appreciate it more where as the general populace would think that it's incomplete.

Sigh... Unfortunately you're right. Mind you I just stumbled on that piece before I glanced at your gallery so I didn't have an idea of what the colourization would look like. It's strong work definitely though the brushwork does get lost in it, but I still consider the gray scale just as valid as a finished piece.

yeah I do agree with you. I love seeing the black and white versions of comics even the rough pencil work. there's just something more appealing seeing the art work raw... I should beg dc to print a black and white version..heh.

LOL yes, that was a VERY wise choice, I have never seen batman with a beard like that before, and it makes me like 'im so much more. love when the heroes turn human.
And thinking about it, never DID make sense he'd take a break from crime fighting to shave. xD

Man, that sure doesn't suck. For reals....That's fantastic work. It's rare to see a really good Superman, but you've got him down cold. One of the best I've seen recently. Greytones look terrific.
