i love the random display - one of the best features of dA - it just showed me this one - my daughter(9) is also looking and when i told her that these came "from the deep oceans of mathematics) she said - "the left one is multiplicate and the right one is subtract"...

Hehe, that is lovely!
Of course it is, why didn't we see it?

yes, we didn't see it because we are not "eagle eye", that's what i call her sometimes... she is an amazing watcher and animal track reader - she even spots horse tracks on grass where i don't see nothing - until she shows me, haha...

Hello! I write stories of creatures for my blog and it would be really great to write a story for this ones. So I have seen you have CC (BY-NC-ND) and for this i don't know if I can really use the image or not. I don't understand in a full way what "no-derivative" means. Maybe create a story is a derivation work, I don't know. And I would only edit the image (choosing one of them) to fit the correct size of an article (this also might be seen as derivative work).
Of course I respect the license with links and credits and respect your decision about this petition.

your work

Greetings!

Well, thank you for asking.
I will have to think about this for a while, partly because I cant understand what you write, and partly because you want to use only a part of my work.
If I could get a preview of your idea I will consider it.

Glad you like my work Alberto!

Thanks Lenord!
My second try... didn't think one could do such "organic" stuff with 'em.

me either, still trying to figure out how you did that

Try with Fern Transform...

Len1 In reply to MANDELWERK [2012-01-31 02:37:10 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that makes sense. Don't really mess with the d.IFS much except for the Waves or Heifgtmap for Planes to set a Hybrid on in a DE Combinate

MANDELWERK In reply to Len1 [2012-01-31 11:13:15 +0000 UTC]

That is probably what I will use it for mostly..
But I have to say I got a bit more hooked by it than I suspected...

No, you caught some awesome ones!

PS = how and when do you use the DIFS?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MANDELWERK In reply to ianjam [2012-01-29 16:27:18 +0000 UTC]

Thank you Ian!!!

Well, this is only my second try with difs, but they are kind of rule-based fractals, I guess it is a bit like structure-synth.
They are in the formula tab to the right in mb3d, and you cant blend them with other formulas (except for de-combinates)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ianjam In reply to MANDELWERK [2012-01-29 16:40:03 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! I tried to use with other formulae and got nowhere, so I assumed i was just being stupid. I'll have another look.

Cheers again!

MANDELWERK In reply to ianjam [2012-01-30 09:02:18 +0000 UTC]

Glad to help, of course you can mix all difs formulas with each oter...
