First gift art created for .I messed up a bit since it's supposed to depict her performing a high kick, but it turned out alright anyways.

Actually quite amazed you didn't lose the left breast with the black color of her suit. Tried that few times but always seems to fail. Cheers to you for being just that good maniacalcarrot.

Thanks, this was my first attempt at drawing Shego, which is why I tried to be as cautious as possible. It was definitely a challenge to colour her properly in this angle. So I kind of made many attempts to get the right lighting direction. The colouring style was still rather new for me at the time as well, nowadays I kind of see some of the mistakes I have made in it.
The best tip I can think of giving you for colouring black, is to use a shade a slight bit lighter than the colours you used for your lines. Give it a slight faded look if you have to, that way you keep the lines prominent, but it flows together at the same time.

That's smart you went and took your time with a new character and like you say it had to be hell to try and detail her colors with such a tight body pose. Well every old pic we look at needs work but be sure to cheer on your efforts for your old work, hell it lead you up to where you are today. True that, even when your skills seem perfect there's still always more than can be done, good for you lad. ^_^

lol I always take on a different approach when I look at old work. My mentality is the belief that I don't want to make those horrible mistakes ever again.

Perhaps not perfect but you have a good head on your shoulders to know that you need to pay attention to where you went wrong before and seek improvement. Besides that your also listening to you fans when they comment so that's another thing you have here that makes you a better artist.
Its a good thing too to strive for new achievements, fell the same way. Whomever has fun just drawing the same old thing really needs to take a step back, lol.

I get bored with drawing repetitive images in animations, so I prefer to try something different.
It's always good to look for past mistakes so you can learn how to avoid them in the future.

That makes sense and even something here with what you pulled off with Shego shows how good artwork can really be when you start get even a touch more creative. ^_^
Agreed and if you don't your only bound to repeat them and create great stress for you in the future, bleh. Sounds like you an artist who really knows what your doing Maniacal, no wonder your so successful with all your work (DP ladies included, lol).
