Description
Guided by Death------------------------------------------------------
First of all I would like to state that this image is not meant to offend anyone.I have served my country as a soldier in the past. Its just my personal view of war and the tragedy that comes out of it.Its an ART and not anything provoking.
People unfortunately often seem to be guided by a rage and fight each other blindly just to bring death upon their enemies. What ever the purpose may be the result is always the same, the loss of the precious human life...Thats why you can see death standing over the soldier and seem to be giving him the next target.Death is what always appears during war,and war brings pain and countless tears of blood...
Thank you all for viewing and I hope that you understand that this is just a clearly art aspect on how war looks in my mind.

I think it is interesting that it is a sniper being guided by death, while any other soldier might be affected the same way you chose the perfect subject...I think...the reaper image has very good detail

To be honest, I hate peices like this. You make seem like the only purpose a solider has is to kill. And that borderline insulting.
A soliders job is to protect and serve, they are not slaves to a unknown demonic being which forces them to shoot at eachother. A solider's willingness to kill comes from a desire to protect his country and the people he loves. You make him look like a murderer here.
Soliders do not make war, nor do kings or countries. People cause war, as long as people exist so will war. It is not something that can be avoided, it will happen.
Point being: Soliders are not bringers of destruction nor are they baby killers or evil, they are men whom are willing to take a life in order to protect. Instead of demonizing him, you should be thankful.

To be Honest, this is my perspective as an artist...actually Some people from some superpower countries are killing innocent people in other places in the world.Whats life for those people?...its hell, and in the end serving or not the result is the same...just bring death to others.I myself have served in the army, you cant say to me to be thankful for this thing and insulting me this way,its all about artist fantasy and way of thinking...
And by the way,i liked the comments from some people that have actually served in the army and really experienced how it is...to think that war veterans left comments about this art and they agreed that war is like this.
This is only a piece of art representing how war looks like in my head,i dont expect you to share the same feelings but dont leave provoking comments like this especially if you havent experienced war or army. Thanks

And on this note, I will say this:
"I responded to what I saw, what appeared to me was a demonization of the solider."
In other words: You "worded" the meaning of the picture poorly and I misread it. That is all.
It is true inncoent people are often murdered in the crossfire of battle, and having that bother you to the point where you retire from the armed forces is absoluetly okay.
Do not get me wrong, I never intended to offend you or insult you in any known way. I respect both your opinions and your service as a solider.

I really appreciate the meaning behind this. Living 30 minutes from Ft. Bragg in NC, I have to read every day about who knows how many soldiers dying. Art like this will hopefully make people understand that war isn't always the right way to go.

Hi there man,First of all thank you for this beautiful and nice comment of yours, its really nice to see that there are some sensitive people who really get the meaning behind this artwork,so i am glad that this worked as i wanted to.War is a terrible thing and i wanted to express this thing as best as i could...we just have to hope that people who make art with something to say "against" things like war or other serious humanity problems may help people to see that this way we are killing eachother pointless and destroying our true heritage, life, freedom and so many other precious gifts we have been given.Human life is not something to waste by this gruesome way...Thank you again, kind regards there.

I absolutely love the concept of this and how true it actually is.
Because a bullet with the intent to kill can only be guided by death.

The only thing that I think would have made it even powerful is if the reaper (not sure if thats what youintended it to be but it looks like it to me) was crying.
As if the Reaper itself was sad about it because it is called the Grim Reaper and to me that translates as the raper is grim in the sense that he is saddned by what he does.
Anyways, thats my two cents worth of thought.

Thank you very much for you proposal on this and i really appreciate those kind of comments...to be honest that was something that i didnt even think about because it was my intention of showing him as the root of "evil" and wanted to make him look like a "mind manipulator" so the human would look like a victim or a puppet in the hands of death as also he has in mind that to win hes got to bing death upon his enemies, this was my personal ofcourse point of view and i like hearing other peoples thinking...now that so long has past since that image i can imagine in my mind that a picture of the death the way you suggested to me would look indeed powerful and diferent ,because until now death looks like tha bad guy.Thank you very much for this nice comment of yours.I will consider it in any future image i may make that will look like this one.

heh, thank you again really, there was no intention to point some specific soldiers as the "bad"..all i wanted was to show that war is the real bad thing and that the only thing that comes out of it is death.purpose of bringing death upon others is what guides soldiers in making wars..despite what nation they are...
