Don Simpson [link] posted to LiveJournal, an interesting, little toothy, key fob he found on Ebay, a while back. It captured my imagination for creating such a thing. And though this is not fully finished, I'm posting as is.Related content

Dat's the plan, awaiting parts.
Though this one is holding up well, wore it dancing and it got knock off the dresser to the cement below, don't know if it's sturdy enough for some poor soul, other than it's creator.

Wow, that is interesting that it produced such excellent detail. The coloration is very well done too. They really seem to be teeth inset. How did you make the mold? Is there sculpture involved or did you use some kind of actual tooth objects somewhere in the process?

I sculpted them of roma clay, no real teeth were ever involved. They were sculpted on a tiny hinge that functioned as an articulator, this way the teeth will interlock when closed. When the sculpt was finished to a point I was willing to stop, I then molded them in silicone. This way I have a mold that I can pour up many more copies of them.

As far as the one I saw for sale it was an antique, I think. Though these are something I sculpted, and if your interested I could pour up a new pair. I have been tossing around the idea of making toothy bits for artist supply, though, where to start..?

That's good then, it is quite gruesome already, but kept mysterious and beautiful, like an old relic. Flesh would probably take it over the edge.
