May I use this picture for a tattoo on my leg. I think it will work very well as a tattoo. I have been looking for a long time after a picture that I like and this one will be perfect.

Just to have as part of my collection. It’s a beautiful piece. I have a great friend from Sweden an artist Mike Blank who had turned me onto Swedish military and I’ve got great references for sculpting and painting which is is my mentor fir. Also would like to use it as guide for figure with your permission. But more importantly I’m not sure this is a painting or a digital design so there is no original let say. Either way Manu I think it is a great piece and just wanted a copy to have on my wallZ
Thank you so much for your time
God bless
Warren

Musket is the wrong model though, here is what they used during those times:

You're right about it, thing is when I actually came upon right picture of the M1701 I already did the musket and as I'm a lazy bastard I left it unchanged haha. By the way I'm searching for detailed illustrations/photographs of the typical Baltic lock, I've read a lot about it but can't find any representation of it. Do you know anything about this?

Baltic lock? you mean the Snaphaunce locks?

I just did a quick google:

Yeah as most flintlocks of the early 18th C. had snaphance mecanisms, the baltic one is different from others though. Snaphance dispositive were made up in Netherlands I think and the ones in use in Western Europe are very different from the baltic counterparts (a crafting fashion I guess). I think the two must be related, technically they are both "snaphance".  Thanks for the links, I wasn't able to find a detailed accurate picture of a baltic lock, those photographs are perfect!

Well, just ask me if you have any questions about caroleans, muskets or locks, since i make my own and collect original antique flintlocks.
