Description
So I thought I'd make a liiiiiittle something to offer some tips on background composition. Please note that my example at the bottom is very brief and rough and I usually use SAI mostly for the base colours of my backgrounds and Photoshop for the details, but this was done purely in Photoshop because I'm lazy. So... that's why it looks less than stellar xDI mostly wanted to illustrate how background are composed and how to create depth in your backgrounds. DEPTH.
Watch the final image to see it change and see some of my process towards creating a background. After this stage, I normally spend a LOT of time scribbling in my details and adding more stuff and using brushes to create a great atmosphere.

I'm glad it helps! I realised that a lot of people haven't had the benefit of learning this stuff, so it might be a good idea to put it all down so people can see it xD I hope it spurs you on further with your progress :3

That would be excellent. I use these simple pngs a lot to create the distance you describe. Feel free to use anytime

Thanks And thank you for providing such a good example of perspective haha. I'm thinking of using a lot of the featured pictures as references for backgrounds in the future
