My dearest friend passed away and I wanted to feel close to him one last time. One last sacred moment to remember.
It’s really hard to let you go.
You still looked so much alive. You still smelled the same. You still felt the same, except you were cold…
Your cold body against my warmth.
Honestly I’m nervous of posting these, because there are are people who will not understand this and might feel disgusted or angry with me…I can’t blame you, you don’t have to understand. These images are precious to me and that’s what matters.
Photos are taken by my mom.

i also took a post mortem photos of my pet ratties and noone ever complained or found it gross if i dont count my family that wont ever understand...but i do understand you completly...my doggy passed away jsut yesterday too, sadly mom left him at the vet instead of bringing him back home to burry him, she has no feelings for animals...now i will never know where i can visit him...

As a vet I have been with many families during the aweful moment of saying goodbye to their pet. This is absolutely beautifal and a great way to remember your baby. Sorry for your loss.
