Description
Hey hey, no I'm not dead! ... at least not yet :0Took a little break from my other big paintings to do a little speedpaint after work today, just a random portrait, nobody in particular didn't use ref or anything, practicing a more realistic anatomy (:
about 3h in photoshop, hope you dig! Some more coming real soon I promise!

bwa. your unique balance between realism and sketchy graphicality never ceases to amaze. it's like watercolour, plus oils, plus pen and ink, plus scratchboard. genius.

Hmm, I love the dreamy atmosphere about it
Btw, 3 hours? I wouldn't paint something like this in 30 hours

hey it's great that you're not dead lol I think the realistic approach is working for ya! Hey I have to ask though, are the brushes you used custom or did you modify the default ps brushes because it looks like watercolor and I was wondering how you did that. It looks pretty sweet though!

Hey man - if you're going for anatomy...
Well, the ear is too big, should be higher on the head (aligned between eyebrows and eye + bottom of nose), and it is also a little too far back, and the bottom half of the face seems a but scrunched vs. the eye/upper nose/forehead area.
Anyhow nice speedie! I dig the textures, reminds me of watercolors.

That's amazing man. Great work. Really wish I could do that without reference.

Very beautiful colours! And colouring looks great too. The womans profile is also nice, I like her eyes too. Hair is nicely done.

I like very much your skill for the free brush colours and backgrounds. Softly organic and fluid work.

Stunning. It looks so real! I'd just have to say that her ear would be a wee bit higher up. The ear and the eye are always aligned somehow, though I forget the exact corelation (sp?) Check the mirror or just someone's head, and you'll see what I mean. ^^ Other than that, though, perfect as usual. Far better than anything I'll ever be able to do. XD You pretty much rock.

Beautiful, beautiful... I love the range of colors you used... and the slightly tactile nature of your brushstrokes always makes your pieces fun to stare at
