Description
The EAS Opal, a veteran of the Earth-Minbari War and the Earth Civil War was taken out of active service after the liberation of Earth due to damage she received near Io. She was repaired and had her main armaments replaced with three new heavy turrets and twin cannons that KarmaTech had been working on under orders from the late President Luis Santiago. The new armaments were a noticeable improvement over their older counterparts, but they required more energy than any Hyperion Class could muster under battle conditions. She was mothballed until the Drakh attack on Earth where she fought valiantly but was ultimately destroyed when a damaged Drakh fighter rammed her, overloading her reactor.
