This portrait, although gentle, exerts a huge impact on the viewers. The fact that the black and white are continuously intertwining each other in some sort of game of differences and similarities between her hair, skin, eyes and clothes is simply amazing. It captures the essence and beauty of the woman.
Focus is mostly maintained around her eyes and slowly goes to her lips, which is all that matters in this photograph.

Personally I do not see any shortcomings in this portrait;
soft lighting, angle, black and white technique, everything adds up to make this photograph an incredible piece of art.
