This was me playing around with my new filters over christmas. Sunset at Sumners' "Shag Rock" (because of the bird... no other reason)Filters Used: Cokin ND8 (P154) & GND8 (P121 G2)

Fantastic shot. I really like the subtle blue in the water compared to the strong pink hues throughout the image. Great use of leading lines with the water - it works really well because of the slight curve.

well to a certain extent yes... the blue isnt exactly this vivid and of coarse the naked eye cant see this length of exposure making the water so flat (perhaps why the water takes this rich blue?) but more or less yes, because they are "neutral density" filters, they dont change the colours but reduce the light entering the lens... like sunglasses!
