Illustration based on the Brian W. Aldiss short story 'Greybeard', from the anthology of the same name.The giant warbots have been locked in this titanic post-apocalyptic struggle since their power ran down centuries before.
They have now simply become part of the landscape.

Now I'm really interested in the plot of that book! So did civilization collapse centuries before the disaster that ended all births?
This is a brilliant painting, I love all the tiny details like the graffiti and the corrosion on the foot of the droid, it adds realism.
