"I shall return to the sea" Said the Thing
"But Why?" Said the girl, sad to see the thing go
"Mystery, my young friend, for beyond this windswept beach and under the rolling surf is the true mystery of our world."
"I shall miss you!" she proclaimed hugging it's leg.
Reaching down a gentle tentacle hugged her and than stated quietly with but a hint of remorse, "that is why a beach is lonely dear, too many goodbyes said and far too few hellos."
Releasing her it stood purposefully into the water and only at the last looked back at the girl her tear stained face caressed by her windswept hair.
"Grow up and come find me, for I shall not journey too deep but wait for you."

I like this. The view is superb, and the contrast between the darker sea and sky, and the sunlit land, are really effective, and bring the eye to the foreground and light. The highlights in the clouds, and the mountain in the background give added dimensions to look into.
Many times it's not what you look at, it's what you want to see there.

This makes me want to be there and see the scene myself. Lovely pic!
